Katie Greenlaw

Katie serves as Rinck's Director of Public Relations working on accounts including Gorton's Seafood, American Beverage Corporation, Maine McDonald's Owner-Operators' Association and the Dempsey Challenge, among others. Katie also leads Rinck’s BlogBeat™ Digital Word-of-Mouth platform, which harnesses the power of online influencers to generate significant brand buzz across social media platforms to generate a measurable return on investment for clients. Under Katie’s guidance, the BlogBeat™ program has become nationally recognized and has grown to include over 1,700 top-tier influencers across the U.S. and Canada.

Katie has extensive public relations experience in segments including consumer packaged goods, higher education, government, small business and non-profits, on both the client and the agency side. In her experience, Katie has served as editor-in-chief for a quarterly magazine, prepared speeches for Hollywood actors, college presidents, mayors and the governor of the state of Maine, and earned placements for her clients in outlets such as The New York Times, Women’s Health, Everyday with Rachael Ray, Saveur Magazine, Today’s Dietitian, Healthy Living Magazine, Diabetes Focus Magazine, Tailgater Magazine, Yahoo! News and Hungry Girl, as well as dozens of regional TV placements around the country. She has coordinated events in Maine and across the nation ranging in size from small focus groups to multi-day events for hundreds. Katie has managed crisis communications, organized press conferences generating significant media coverage in a matter of hours and distributed thousands of press releases (yes, literally). 

Katie has spoken at various conferences and seminars, such as the University of Southern Maine Corporate Partners Series, the Androscoggin Chamber of Commerce Seminar Series and the Outreach Marketing Summit on Influencer Advocacy with topics including “Social Media Strategy: Utilizing Today's Social Media Tools for Measurable Results” and “The Value of Co-Campaigning: How Two Brands Partnered to Create an Award-Winning Influencer Campaign”. Her presentations have highlighted award-winning work, including a campaign Katie and her team implemented for Daily’s Cocktails, which earned a Maine Public Relations Council Golden Arrow Award for Social Media, and two 2013 PR Daily Social Media Award Honorable Mentions for Best Use of Social Media for Brand Awareness and Best Use of Social Media for Public/Media Relations.

Katie graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management in 2002 and received a Master of Business Administration in 2010, both from Thomas College in Waterville, Maine. She earned Accreditation in Public Relations in April 2011 (an accreditation held by only an estimated 18% of PR pros in the U.S.) by successfully completing a rigorous presentation and examination process governed by the Universal Accreditation Board and administered by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the Maine Public Relations Council (MPRC). Katie is a member of the MPRC. She is also a founding member of the Emerge Film Festival. She lives in Greene, Maine with her husband and their two children.
