Two Windham High School Graduates Awarded Mechanics Savings Bank Scholarship

Fifteen $1,000.00 Banking on the Future Scholarships have been awarded to area high school graduates.

Auburn, Maine – Mechanics Savings Bank awarded $1,000.00 Banking on the Future Scholarships to Windham High School graduates Jacob O’Neill of Raymond and Christopher Frost of Windham. O’Neill is the son of Beth O’Neill. Frost is the son of Kevin Frost and Robbin Frost Alden and Ken Alden.

As a student at Windham High School, Jacob O’Neill was a member of the Spanish Honor Society, the Mission Wellness Club and the Lacrosse and Golf teams. In addition, O’Neill volunteered at the Kids To Kids Mentoring program at Jordan Small Middle School in Raymond. He is a recipient of the Saint Vincent Ferrar Scholarship from Providence College.

O’Neill is attending Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island, where he is majoring in Economics. Following this, he plans to attend law school.

Christopher Frost graduated in the Top 10 of his class and was a member of the National Honor Society, the French Club, the Cross Country Team and Windham Chamber Singers. He received numerous awards at Class Day and graduation. Throughout high school, Frost’s community service activities included musical performances at local nursing homes. He also worked at Big Reds Hot Dog Stand and provided lawn care services.

Frost is attending Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York, with plans to major in Communications/Music.
