Mechanics Savings Bank Appoints Edward M. Snook to Board of Directors

Mechanics Savings Bank recently named Edward M. Snook to its board of directors.

Since 1994, Snook has served as Treasurer of the Sun Journal and is Chief Financial Officer of various affiliated companies. He also serves as Publisher of the Bethel Citizen, Advertiser Democrat, Rumford Falls Times, Franklin Journal, Livermore Falls Advertiser, Rangeley Highlander and the Penobscot Times in Old Town.

Since 1994, Snook has served as Treasurer of the Sun Journal and is Chief Financial Officer of various affiliated companies. He also serves as Publisher of the Bethel Citizen, Advertiser Democrat, Rumford Falls Times, Franklin Journal, Livermore Falls Advertiser, Rangeley Highlander and the Penobscot Times in Old Town.

Snook graduated from Dartmouth College in 1978 and the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration in 1983. From 1983 to 1989, he worked on Wall Street as a bond trader and investment banker.  He joined the Sun Journal in 1989. With a long history of community involvement, Snook is currently a board member, past president and former treasurer of the St. Martin de Porres Residence in Lewiston. He is a football referee and a member of the Augusta Chapter of Football Officials. He is also a softball official, affiliated with the Andy Valley Umpires. Snook resides in Auburn with his wife Catherine Costello, and their three children.
