Agren Appliance & Television Announces "Cash for Clunkers" Appliance Rebates

In partnership with Efficiency Maine, Agren Appliance & Television is announcing its "Cash for Clunkers" appliance rebate program. By offering mail-in rebates, the Efficiency Maine Residential Appliance Program encourages customers to replace their outdated appliances with new energy efficient models. Rebates range from $25 to $75 on select Energy Star® rated, qualified clothes washers, refrigerators, freezers, dehumidifiers and air conditioners.

Portland McDonald’s® Welcomes Special Guest Nell Newman and Takes Guests on a Behind the Counter Tour of Kitchen Operations

The Portland, Maine McDonald’s located at 332 St. John Street recently opened its kitchen to media and invited guests giving them a first-hand look at operations behind the counter. McDonald’s Owner/Operators Scott, Edie and George Lydick accompanied guests who checked out the fresh products in the refrigerator and observed as McDonald’s favorites such as the Egg McMuffin® were prepared. Guests were also offered the opportunity to make their own Egg McMuffins.

McDonald's Spirit of the Games Recipients Honored

Patrick Thibodeau and Josh Titus Honored at Boston Celtics' Heroes Among Us Awards Ceremony

Two former Maine high school basketball managers/players, Josh Titus of Auburn and Patrick Thibodeau of Cumberland, were honored at the Boston Celtics' Heroes Among Us awards ceremony on July 28. The two young men received their crystal engraved Heroes Among Us trophies in The Great Hall at the Massachusetts State House in Boston.
